P4 are taking part in the Accelerated Reader Scheme. They do a 'Star Reader' Test which identifies the level of the scheme they will begin working at. This test picks up their strengths and identifies their next steps. 

They read a book of their choice at their level and once they have read it carefully, they answer a few short questions on it. 

For each test they are aiming to get a minimum of 85%. Ideally, if they have read the book carefully they will be getting 100% for the majority of their books. 

When they score 100% in 3 tests at their level they move up to the next level.

Each time they do a test they also accumulate points. These points count towards certification levels.
